Cosmicity

The subtle lines that unite Bernardo Falconi´s different collections make the observer witness a sort of manifestation by perceiving the subtle mysteries of the vital creative energy which, like an internal sun that illuminates the mysteries of life, inhabits plants, elements, fairies, sylphs or water nymphs in a cosmic environmentalism. The poet Ernesto Cardenal composed his Cántico Cósmico to creation, and Falconi composed a visual poem in his Cosmological Ecology. Falconi has travelled to the ends of the universe through his spatial perspective, like the perfect son of the era of space telescopes like Kepler, X-Chandra or James Webb. 

In his work, there are telescopic perspectives of galactic confines such as in Consciousness, which resembles astronomical constructions of photographs of the universe in original pigments spanning from infrared to ultraviolet. In his epiphanic search, the painter captures the origin of color in the origin of stardust. 

 Falconi also has a microscopic perspective, the perspective of an electron or magnetic force microscope, a subtle optical machine that lets us see the wonders of the creation of plants, flowers and landscapes that show us a boy joyfully running on the slopes of Ilalo volcano and who is integrated in the same life as a tiny observer contemplating the small plants and giant trees. Much Abundance, Visual Nutrition, Growth, Union, the works that are the complex of nature. Like the Cosmos Monotheism Unity, symbolized by the Egyptian god Akhenaton, in which the painter makes this unique being seem to arise, like the sun: Akhenaton Monotheism. 

This unit has created Cosmic Plants and Forest that are the reflection of the interstellar. It is the same wisdom as Aguacoya or San Pedro, the magical plant of the equatorial valleys of Kitu or Bird’s Introspective Essence which rises like the sacred seven-ringed agave that is the sacred concoction of the Apus and Yachays, or Grandfather’s Dream which immerses us in the essential vibration of the sun in the center of the world. The painting of the center of the world gazes upon the ephemeral light and synthesizes color. The San Pedro agaves are the sons of the straight sun of the axis mundi. 

What better manifestation of the resistance to time and its slavery than a tree! This painting in some sort zooms in on the trunk of a spatial tree, the tree of the painting Growth; this image catapults us to the past of an oak tree used by the Druids as a symbol of eternity and the holm oak which blooms in the white Nordic winter. For the wise Druids, this tree is like the center of the world where the Earth and sky meet. The textures of this painting let us appreciate close-up the cracks of the bark of the trunk that sustains the universe. They are like wrinkles or marks of an ancient time that experienced evolution.

Falconi foresees Cosmopolitan, a future of new cities that rise like cosmic plants. A future of ecological cities with subtropical pyramids and organic buildings where biological capsules are the means of transport of highly sensitive and vitally connected future beings. Falconi´s Ideal is expressed in his timeless painting.
